History of Grace Covenant Church

Grace Covenant Church was organized as a mission work of Heartland Presbytery (Presbyterian Church in America) in 1990. Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church (the original name) was started by several families who were committed to seeing a Reformed church presence in Grand Island.

The church moved to
its current location at 418 West 12th Street during the summer of 1998.

In November of 2004, Grace Covenant Church became a "particular" church in the PCA when Heartland Presbytery installed elders in the church as its governing court (called a "Session").
